Hello amazing friend! It's that time of year! The one where we have some people gushing all over social media and some feeling a little out of the loop and lonely. What's crazy is that I AM BOTH OF THOSE PEOPLE...so I get it. Being a military spouse, I spend some Valentine's Days excited to be with my husband and some where I'm frustrated, lonely, and a little sad.
So for this Valentine's Day blog, I wanted to share with you some fun ideas on how to celebrate valentine's day whether you are celebrating with someone or not!
Is Self-Care a way to Celebrate Valentine's Day?
So you probably know where I'm going with this. I know it's a cliche term these days, but I think it's "cliche" for a reason.
Self-care is for ALL people! Whether you are a mama, a wife, a military spouse, single, dating, working full-time, working from home, stay at home mom...literally...everyone. We can't pour out of an empty cup. So if there is any day to make sure you are loving on others by taking care of yourself as well...it's the DAY OF LOVE!
So yes, whether you have your significant other to celebrate with or not, self-care is THE PERFECT way to celebrate Valentine's Day. Even if it's just for 30 minutes.

Wild Orange Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Recipe:
Semi-sweet or milk chocolate
Wild Orange Essential Oil
Delicious Strawberries
Melt the chocolate using your preferred method. After it's melted add the desired amount of essential oils (I'd say 2-4 drops would work but it depend on how much you are making). You can always dip your finger in the taste test ;)
Make sure that the washed strawberries are completely dry before dipping into the melted chocolate. Put on parchment paper to let it set. SO YUMMY!!!
So friends, love is in the air this Valentine's Day. Take some time to relax and renew so that you can love on those around you. Whether they are your kids, your spouse, your siblings, your friends...they all deserve your best...and so do you!
